A new generation is looking the future straight in the eye. Metropolis Festival is an eight-day youth festival focusing on art, technology, and the future, inspired by Fritz Lang’s iconic film Metropolis (1927).

Young people from Antwerp and far beyond imagine what our cities, bodies, and lives will look like in a hundred years. Expect a vibrant mix of theatre, fashion, music, workshops, debates, film, spoken word, and digital installations, all curated by DE 7, a young think tank that will take over the Arenberg for a week. Metropolis is also evolving into an international movement in which young people worldwide exchange ideas about the world of tomorrow.
